Bioengineering is a multidisciplinary field bridging the gap between biology and engineering sciences and is fast becoming a globally expanding discipline. MIT group of institutes is a brand name in engineering as well as medical education and hence rightfully poised to initiate and carry forward the Bioengineering program.
An effective education is one that enables students to match their steps with the changing technology. With this background in mind, we offer a four-year BTech Bioengineering program, an integrated M Tech course and Ph.D. degree program in the school of Bioengineering Sciences and Research, Loni Campus. We have collaborations with several premier research institutes, hospitals, clinics and laboratories across India and abroad.
At the school, we train our students in not only the basic tenets of the subjects but also in entrepreneurial and problem-solving skills. Accordingly, the course curriculum has been designed after detailed discussions and inputs from high-level HR and R&D personnel in different industry segments such as IT, bioinformatics, biotechnology and biomedical solutions. Students are required to take up several in-house and external projects to hone their technical and team building skills. The course curriculum is implemented via use of pedagogy techniques such as project-based learning involving plenty of hands-on sessions. A dedicated team of faculty guides the students in inculcating out-of-the-box thinking that is very essential for surviving in today’s professional world. The culture at the institute is corporate- like with academic freedom so that the budding entrepreneurs enjoy the best of both worlds.
